1 Pkt Garden Huckleberry

This decorative annual will grow to a bushy, 3 foot plant in one season, producing clusters of plump fruit that look like large, dark blueberries. Garden Huckleberry make delicious pies, jellies, and jams, but use about 1/3 more sugar than your normal blueberry recipe.
Planting guide: Sow indoors 6 to 8 weeks before they can be set out-of-doors. When the plants have 4 leaves transplant 4 to 5 inches apart. Set outdoors 3 feet apart after danger of frost. The fruit should not be used until thoroughly ripe. Boil until tender before adding sugar, as boiling in sugar will cause it to become tough. There is sometimes a bitter taste which disappears after the fruit has been frosted. If prepared before frost, parboil in water containing a small pinch of baking soda.
These items are useful when starting seeds indoors for transplanting:

1 Pkt Ground Cherry Tomato

Also known as Husk Tomato, The Ground Cherry Tomato is an interesting and versatile native American fruit that was regarded as a delicacy by the Pilgrims. The tasty, cherry-sized fruits grow inside papery husks on short plants. The fruit is enjoyed fresh, dried, and in pies and preserves. Kept in the husk in a cool, dry place, it can be stored well into the winter.
Planting guide: Start indoors 8 weeks before time to set in open ground. Cover thinly, then pack firmly and water. When plants are about 2 inches high, transplant to 3 inches apart in flat or pot. After danger of frost, set 2 to 3 feet apart in garden, but before doing so, harden the plants by gradually exposing them to the outdoor air for about a week.
